On June 1st, Yuma Animal Control brought us 4 abandoned female boxer puppies that were found near Cibola High School. All of them were totally covered with ticks and had white gums from anemia caused by blood loss. We treated them for the ticks and gave them fluids to rehydrate them. They are doing OK but will need continued treatment since they are at high risk of getting tick fever or other illnesses caused by parasites. We have created a fund for these 4 sisters to help us with medical costs. If you would like to donate to the Boxer Sisters’ Healthcare Fund, you can do so here. We would appreciate anything you can give!
